It was practiced by NASA and became the first watch appearing in the moon. But the tide reversed in 1975 when the economic recession stroke. The company scrambled onward.

In the 90s, the company was reborn with its daring originality. In 1995, the Omega Seamaster Quartz Professional was worn by Pierce Brosnan, a famed film actor. Four years later, in 1999, it mass produced a watch with co-axial escapement and gathered much popularity. Ever since then, Omega is so popular among the world that it was chosen to be the Olympics watches.
